NEW 2 YEAR COURSE FOR STUDENTS 16-18YEARS

This two-year course is equivalent to 3 A Levels and is designed to help you extend your understanding and knowledge of the performing arts, develop your performing skills and learn new ones in our purpose-built performance spaces. It combines practical assignments and the study of a variety of performance arts disciplines. You will work on production projects and be involved in life at Italia Conti with an experience of over 100 years.

The Arts Centre delivers programmes for serious students looking to become performance industry professionals. Our faculty includes tutors that have performed alongside some of the biggest names in musical theatre and worked in every area of the industry.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
Our team of specialist course tutors interview and audition every applicant for this course. You will need 4 GCSE passes at grade C or above or a Level 2 Diploma (in a related subject).
(We are also looking for a degree of potential that can be developed, as well as a real interest in and commitment to the art of performance and you will be able to audition for a further year to complete our own 3 year diploma.)

ABOUT THE BTEC QUALIFICATION
BTECs are work-related qualifications suitable for a wide range of students. They provide a more practical, real-world approach to learning, and are studied by more than a million students around the world.

BTEC level 3 Diploma sits on the UCAS framework. Therefore the grades you receive from us will equate to UCAS 120 - 240 points (depending on overall grade) which can be used to progress onto higher education.

BTEC 'UPGRADE' OPTION
Not only do we deliver the BTEC course guided learning hours of 18 per week. You will also experience our established professional performing Arts course to give you the full professional training of an extra 20 hours a week. This will give you a full training programme for the profession.

A top up option is also available where by students complete addition training throughout the week to comply with our 3 year full time course.

This 2 year course links directly to our 3 year course and students who opt for the 'upgrade' option can transfer directly onto the 3rd year of the 3 year course.

BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts for students aged 16-18 years. Nationally recognised as an equivalent to three A-Levels by Edxcel.
Our Students explore music, dance, drama and musical theatre through a series of optional and core units.
